The songs were recorded in five days in the living room of Hunger, who accompanied herself on piano, guitar and harmonica. Alongside songs in English, there are also four vernacular tracks. Hunger also invited musician friends, amongst others the trombonist Michael Flury, who became a steady instrumentalist for Sophie Hunger from that day on. The Sketches on Sea
