Der Farbton verndert sich bei Temperaturen zwischen 180 220C (356 428F) von Grn zu Blau und bei Temperaturen zwischen 310 350C (590 662F) von Blau zu Wei. Eine funktionale Beschichtung zur Anzeige von Fehlern an der Isolierung von Innenteilen, wobei dann ein optischer Farbwechsel als Reaktion auf den Temperaturanstieg erfolgt.
