The organically curved seat made of bent plywood resembles the wings of a butterfly and combines Western design language with traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Sori Yanagi designed the stool in 1956, manufactured by Tendo Mokko. This footstool shows slight age related signs of wear, which underline its vintage character.
