Victorian Ivory Silk Gown 40s tulle petticoat we saw a tiny spotCirca late 1890s, likely close to 1899. The style and color of this gown lead me to believe it was a wedding dress, but of course I cannot be entirely certain. It is also in such excellent condition, as a dress worn only once would be. The dress would have almost certainly had a high collar sewn into the bodice, and there is evidence of the stitching from where this was removed. Bodice is boned and lined with cotton.
