These look very much like denim but they are a softer weave cotton blend with more drape

Sleeveless bodice with mock neckline and fitted waist

making the dress capable of opening completely

very wearable with no structural issues

1940s Muff with Zippered Pouch 1940s_dress 5" Yoke is 6” long1940s super soft fur muff (mink?) with a zippered interior pouch and wrist strap. Pouch is large enough to hold a small amount of items. Seems to fit an (older) iPhone and small wallet, etc. Measure 11" tall and about 15" across the bottom. Excellent vintage condition with some wear aging but I didn't notice any shedding or issues with the lining.
