we've found this plant to be a slow but steady grower that can be a bit reluctant to pitcher except for a few times a years

The remaining photos were taken when the plant was repotted in mid October

It's a Peruvian native species that's been said to grow best under cooler conditions but we've found it does well in our warm greenhouse as well

The cross results in a vigorous and temperature tolerant hybrid that attains pitchers with a large size but also has the vertical pitcher opening reminiscent of aristolochioides

Note that Marpesa is a grex of maxima x northiana originally from Leilani Nepenthes nursery. We're unsure if there was some mixed pollination for our plant.
