Victorian Amethyst Rivière Hair set in 18ct gold designedA refined Victorian pale amethyst rivire necklace, set in rich 15ct gold and dating to circa 186070. The beautifully matched lilac amethysts are elegantly mounted in closed back settings, and the piece features a discreet hinged loop to allow the addition of a pendant. A classic example of mid 19th century taste, where delicacy and romantic colour were prized in evening adornment. Measures: 48cm long. The centre stone measures: 15mm x 12mm
