The cabochon chrysoberyls alternate around the horseshoe with natural half pearls. During the Victorian era, the horseshoe symbol was a popular motif in jewellery, often associated with good luck, protection, and love. Its upward pointing design symbolised the collection of good luck. This piece was made circa 1870 Measurements: 1. 8cm x 1. 7cm.
