Kay Bojesen Guardsman With Sword, Red/Blue/White Smart Switch Whether litay Bojesen created his wooden soldiers for the first time in 1940 on the occasion of King Christian Xs 70th birthday as a tribute to the Danish king. At that time, they stood guard as one meter tall soldiers outside Kay Bojesen's shop in Bredgade. In 1942, Kay Bojesen created these smaller figures.
