It exhibits teeth connected to the back of the pitcher lid which often can be observed secreting nectar. Nepenthes bicalcarata is a true lowlander and appreciates warm temperatures and high humidity. The form sold here is seed grown from a horticultural cross in Thailand. Most tend to have red pitchers. This product is considered a Lowland Tropical plant. Please see
