The makers lacquered the brass and so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The catch and hinge work perfectly. The base of the compact is signed Stratton ENGLAND. Measures 7. 5 cm diameter. Weighs 74. 1 grams.
