and is rests on an oval lozenge of Swiss lapis - complete with matched bail

and eventually made its way to France where we found it

The body of the fob is wonderfully ornate, crafted in 15 karat gold with scrolled and foliate motifs as well as an elaborate hand chased border around the base.
