RARE 19th Century Spode Copeland Blue English Transferware Gilded Plate Grasshopper Blue Willow Toby Jug They also make nice bookendsFor consideration I am offering this rare, difficult to find plate in the Grasshopper pattern by Spode, W. T. Copeland, Stoke Upon Trent. The design epitomizes the Aesthetic Movement with the Asian inspired vignette of insects, flowers and Oriental fences. The plate is scalloped with a gilt gold edge. Circa 1882 Condition is near mint with little wear to the gold band around the edge. There are no chips or cracks and no crazing that I can see. Marked
